FLIPPING HECK!!
Due to unforseen circumstances befalling my dear cohort in all things Cravats, Robin Dallaway, the band are now unable to perform any gigs this year.
This means we are NOT playing the Rebellion Punk Festival in Blackpool in August, which is very sad indeed and we would like to take this opportunity to apologise profusely to any of you who were looking forward to this event.
Rather than perform as a pale shadow of The Cravats without key personel, we feel it is best to not perform at all as The Cravats until, Svoor Naan, Robin Dallaway and myself are together, gamboling on stage as once we were.
We are all deeply disappointed but some things in life take precedence over jollity now and again.
As we had been making a considerable racket over the last few months in the laboratory as preparation for playing live, The Shend may now become a band rather than just me for a while in order to perform and record.
Who will be in The Shend?
Well, me obviously, plus some others.
I have always wanted to be a group of people and now I is.
We are also currently contributing to a new book by the behemoth of music and language, Mick Mercer for a tome about cool bands from yesteryear, which should be available this year I think.
I'm off to the cafe now
