But if all goes according to plan, super axe behemoth of The Cravats, RR Dallaway will be mucking about once more with me and Svor Naan to play giggeroonies and do some new stuff.
Until that happens me and Uncle Svor will be playing some Cravats hot hits at
the Bizarre Bazaar stage on Saturday 8th August at the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.
After much negotiation we have managed to get ourselves on just after some burlesque act and just before main act of the night, The Bay City Rollers (featuring Eric Faulkner).
After all these years it seemed the ideal band for The Cravats to play with rather than some oitey toitey ponk band and we're very proud indeed!

Why the hell can't we find any film of us anywhere from the old days?
Seems weird that none of you 26,000 took any photos or film us with your Dad's Super 8 cine camera. Please, help us find some so we can bung it on YouTube. Talking of the interweb. Facebook has a Cravats Group which you can join here.

THE CRAVATS (an appreciation of the jazz punk colossals)

My new book Good Friend Of The Cravats Mick Mercer has just released his new book on Goth/Post-Punk (which The Cravats/The Very Things feature large. It is 624 pages long, containing individual entries on 3,581 different bands, from 70 countries, with 183 photos. This is the biggest guide ever printed about the underground scenes in which Goth, Post-Punk and all things noir co-exist with equal splendour.

and I've just finished painting my garden furniture with Teak oil so it should last me for another summer, thus avoiding a trip to bloody B&Q.
It really is time the Cravats returned complete and I am doing my utmost to make it so . . . so that's alright then, isn't it?
Also, does anyone out there put on gigs in countries other than England who would like to pay us to play in their fair land? Get in touch if you run any festivals or venues and would like The Cravats to be weird at them.

As always, please feel free to send any Cravs related gubbins you may have lying around your attic, to this site's curator, Dale, as he wants to expand the selection of exhibits to biblical proportions.

Anyway, that'll do for now Be Seeing You
